This review caught my attention for two reasons. First, I agreed with it. I read this book last year and loved it (though I had issues with the ending). Second, I had a long talk with a fellow figure skating mom the other night while our daughters skated about the book and the unique characters and voices. It is hard to write a book in multiple points of view and keep them all clear and distinct, and we agreed that Kathryn Stockett did a terrific job of this.
If you have not read The Help, read it! Then watch the movie, which is also excellent (but read the book first, always!).
